Using the SGC for Akamai API Security to integrate Akamai App & API Protector

We don't have Akamai API Security, but I'm hoping that the Akamai SGC can be used to pull CI information from App & API Protector. Has anyone done this? The set-up documentation doesn't align - the API Selection List doesn't have APIs, Sources or System Changes.

Support have told me that the SGC won't work with App & API Protector. Looks like I'm building my own.
