Add a Flow Design to an Update Set - Washington DC Release

just upgraded to Washington DC release in our dev instance and I am looking to add to an update set a new Flow Design in the new Worflow Studio, however that option is no longer available.

In previous releases, I would just check the box next to the flow and then on the Options menu, I would click "Add to update set".

Now, that feature is not there.

Is there a new way of doing this that was NOT in the release notes??

Have some ready to go to an update set to move to Test and then move to Prod so I would appreciate a response/solution...

Thanks!

I have found the solution - similar to how we use to add the old Workflows to an update set individually from a catalog item (break/fix operation)

We inputted in the nav search bar this:  sys_hub_flow.list

That returned all the flows in list view and then once we found the one we wanted to add to an update set, we clicked the box next to it and then did the "Add to Update Set" from the options at the top:

This is what we had to do with the old Workflows Break/Fix so it's just an extra step but I don't know why we lost that functionality in Washington release.

Here's how we did it previously:

Open Flow Design - on Homepage it shows all the current flows

Then, if we clicked in the box next to the flow, on that Action dropdown, we had the option to add to Update Set....

Plus, if we create a New Catalog Item with a New Flow, and want to add them into an update set together, we now have to do both steps to do that.

When you used Workflow, as soon as you did the "Add to update set" on the Catalog item, it included the Workflow automatically...

So it's more than just a "bit of a workaround"....

Thanks for the response.

Good tip on the sys_hub_flow.list
Worked for me as well.

Hi there!

I have also found this to be a huge annoyance for me and my teammates since upgrading to Washington.

(This is really more of a bug than a feature in my mind!)

However, I have found a short work-around that I thought I would share (while it still works).

Go into your flow/subflow just as you would have previously.

Once you have saved and published it, navigate as follows:

1) More Actions Menu

2) Scroll down and select Manage Security

3) Select Add to Update Set

And there you go, your flow/subflow has been added to your update set, without all the hassle of having to go into the table and manually add it.

I hope this helps someone!

Thanks, I found this more helpful than going in the table since it works with all kind of objects in the Workflow Studio and avoid to open each specific table. Faster and more usefriendly for me. But this doesn't fix the root cause.

Hey, I also noticed this and was bothered.  I have some superusers who make modifications to flows and catalog items for their areas in dev and I am responsible for moving them to the various environments and I have to build their update sets, so yeah this bugged me too.

I found a workaround go to sys_hub_flow.list and there you can click the flow and add to update set.

Hope this helps.
