The Knowledge Management Service Portal homepage includes a search bar with type ahead search.

You have to change the  "search source " of type ahead search.

You can open you portal and then remove rest of the two search sources and only keep knowledge to get result only for knowledge

This search sourch has been used in another search bar also like home page .

If you remove the search sources for Questions and Answers and Service Catalog, I think it should work.
