I want maintenance and blackout schedules to be defined so that users are more aware of periods of time when a change can be implemented vs. when they should not be.

I want to Create a maintenance schedule called "Data Center - Maintenance Weekend Schedule".

I want it to be applied to all "Network", "Unix Server", and "Linux Server" CI classes. 3rd Saturday of every month till end of the year should be part of Maintenance Weekend Schedule. Create a blackout schedule named: "Monthly Freeze/Blackout Period". Should be applied to all CI classes. 4th Friday of every month till end of the year should be part of Freeze/Blackout Period.

I'm using New York release not Orlando.

Hello D,

In the given link, on top left side, you see versions. you can select Newyork on the left side and the content will change as per Newyork version.

Go to Change > Blackout Schedule  for #2  (go to Maintenance Schedules - for #1)

Create new:

Then fill in your the required info: Name, Description

for Source: select CI Class

No change in Applies to: it should be under cmbd_ci already

then,

Add filter conditions for those 3:  Network, Unix Server, Linux Server

so, it'll look like this:

Class    is   Network

and

Class is Unix Server

and

Class is Linux Server

then,

(scroll down it's underneath related link)

To set schedule every 4th Friday:

go to Schedule entry tab

create new:

you can name it (every 4th Friday #2  or every 3rd Saturday for #1)

Name: xxxx

Type: n/a

when: check box all day

repeats: Specific

Here you can select your 4th Friday by doing the following:

repeat specific: 4 (3 for #1)

repeat on:  Friday  (Saturday for #1)

until:  end of the year

Give me a thumb up if this helps!
