Not able to remove example text from Catalog variable

in the variable form i am not able to add the  example text field in form lay out.

Hi,

you should be in global scope to add that field on form layout

Ensure you select Global from application picker and then configure the form layout

yes, I am in global scope and able to edit it, but not able to find it in variable form.

for example in list layout its below active field, added and saved but not finding it in below the active field in variable form.

Hi,

the Example text is shown only when variable type is one of these Date, Date/Time, Email, Ip Address, Multi line, Single Line, URL, Wide Single Line

Your variable is Reference type and hence it's not showing

That's controlled by this OOB UI policy
