To ease existing users into using the Next Gen experience its possible to create a system property that allows them to choice between Next Gen UI or UI16 through their preferences
- Assumptions: Users are on San Diego +
- Impact: upgrade Instances missing default system parameter. New Installs are ok
**By default System property glide.ui.polaris.on_off_user_pref_enabled is not resident within the system properties list**
- Login as Admin and ensure application is set to “global”
- Navigate to sys_properties.LIST
- In NAME search box type glide.ui.polaris.
- Click New in upper right corner
- Fill in the fields in screenshot below as shown making sure Application reflects “Global”
*Name - glide.ui.polaris.on_off_user_pref_enabled
Description – Enable or Disable Unified Navigation from User Preference
Choices - <leave Blank>
Type – Select dropdown true|false
Value - true
Property screen should look something like :-
6. Click SUBMIT
7. Verify new parameter is in the list then refresh each screen
8. Logout / in. Verify option is now visible by selecting Profile in upper right; then preferences in the dropdown; then
