We need to securely store passwords and encrypt them so that clients trust ServiceNow platform to store such sensitive information. There are other ways to fetch passwords from other tools. But, if there is a requirement to store them in ServiceNow and then retrieve them. This is the best way.

In this video, we will see the use of GlideEncrypter class which can encrypt a plain string and can also decrypt a password.
