Dear Folks,
Hope you all are doing good!!
Did you know that there is an option to show/hide related list using Ui Policy ? In this article, we will see on it. Let's get started !!
Requirement : Show/hide related lists based on some fields conditions on load of the form.
Steps: 1. Create new UI policy and give the appropriate field condition and save it.
2. Go to related list of "UI Policy Related List Action".
3. Click on New button.
4. Select the required list name.
5. Check Visible choice field where you can the select the appropriate value as per your requirement.
1.true - Make it visible
2.false- Make it hide
3.Leave alone- Don't do anything.
Notes: When addressing complex requirements, it is possible to utilize client scripts as an alternative solution using g_form API. However, as professional developers, it is essential to consider all available options during the planning the solution. This includes recognizing that certain functionalities can be achieved with minimal configuration and are easier to maintain, thereby avoiding the immediate need for scripting solutions.
I hope it's useful.
