activating mutual authorization with self signed certificate

when I try to upload a self signed certificate under  All > Certificate Based Authentication > CA Certificate Chain  after activating the plugin com.glide.auth.mutual an error message pops up and I'm not able to save the record!

Is there any restriction on PDIs?
