Homepage(Dashboard)

When I tried to change the homepage dashboard for a user from the ‘User Preferences’ record, it didn’t work, as it kept showing the previously last opened dashboard whenever I opened the homepage, but the user doesn't want that. 

Are there any solutions for this?

Might be cache issue or it is still taking old record.

I cleared the cache, but it's still showing the last open dashboard when going to the homepage.

ohh , try to add new sys_id in old user preference record.

Does it make any difference even if I clear the cache?
