When using @mention for John Smith I get 4 options and can't see any other user properties to know which one is correct one to select. How can we add attribute like job title or userid to this display?

Hi,
I doubt you can but as a work around you can use something as below.
Try changing the calculated field "Name" in User (sys_user) table to calculate First name + Last name + Email, so as to make it easily distinguishable. But this would mean that you will see First name + Last name + Email when the system is displaying the User Name unless you also change the display field of sys_user table to another field.
As I guess there was a problem ticket but unable to locate the same & its status.
Thanks,
Jaspal Singh

Hello
Unfortunately, this behavior is not currently modifiable.
This issue was related to the Known Problem: PRB727205 which was closed as "Won't Fix" by the Product team. They reasoned that this is not a Defect but rather an Enhancement.
I recommend seeing if there is an option to upvote this behavior in the Idea Portal or create a new Idea if it does not exist.
Currently, the only workaround for differentiating people would be to assign a picture for each user with the same name.
Hope that helps!
If it did, please consider marking the reply as the Solution. Thanks!

Hi @Noah Drew can you please send the link of the Known Problem: PRB727205 , is you still have? I have similar issue, when a user wants to mention a user in worknotes but have same name . so she doesn't know who to tag.
