I cannot figure out how to enable 3rd party discovery sources to update the hostname / CI Name of any of our CI's.
We have Discovery in our instance which I believe is contributing to the issue as previously with another client this was not an issue.
No matter what no discovery sources are allowed to update the hostname. when checking cmdb360 I can see that it was retrieved but not updated. I've set the property to always update hostname in discovery but no luck.
Any way I can add trusted discovery sources to update the hostname.
Additionally my CI Reconciliation settings are configured correctly, both SG-SCCM an In Tune are both highest priority and allowed to set name.
Thanks!

Hi @Community Alums
We are in the same boat, were you able to fix the issue?

Yes we do. It was working but since last few weeks we have noticed the CI name doesnt get updated for some reason. There has been no changes apart from the instance upgrade to Utah in last couple of months.

When something like that happens, I would get the sys_id of the record and check it under the import set that was supposed to update that record.
It will give you a good clue why it didn't update.
You may also need to check the audit history for the table where the record is stored.
