Redirect URL when user click a catalog item

Hi all,

                          Currently i have a catalog item in service catalog. The requirement is when a user click on this catalog item,instead of opening the catalog item form it should automatically redirect the user to a new URL page in his browser. suppose when a user click catalog item it should open a new tab to www.google.com.

Is this possible? I tried using CONTENT ITEMS by selecting content type EXTERNAL CONTENT but its not working. any suggestions will be helpful.

okay i am sorry guys. i got this. when i create CONTENT ITEM it is basically showing in catalog items under category, so the user is redirecting to the URL. closing the discussion

IS there any way we use the content item in category and still redirect the user to mentioned link?
