Hi @AnaElisaG ,

Just to be clear, a certification itself doesn't guarantee any job opportunity, but off course you're better set for a Job related to ServiceNow. Have you investigated job openings in your area?

If my answer has helped with your question, please mark my answer as the accepted solution and give a thumbs up.

Best regards

Hello @AnaElisaG

First of all would like to informed that an Certification does not mean an individual has entire knowledge about Administration or Development.

There are organizations in the market who asks for certification before hiring an individual but to get an appropriate job you must learn the ServiceNow perfectly.

ServiceNow Administration :The ServiceNow System Administrator is responsible for the configuration, administration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform within an organization.

You can take this Now Learning Fundamental Course : https://nowlearning.servicenow.com/lxp/en/pages/now-learning-get-certified?id=amap_detail&achievemen...

for an Administration Job you can opt for Certified System Administrator Certification (CSA)

ServiceNow Developer :A ServiceNow developer is a software developer who specializes in working with the ServiceNow platform. They design, code, and troubleshoot applications. In addition to working on custom applications, ServiceNow developers may manage the platform and infrastructure.

ServiceNow Consultant : As an ServiceNow Technical Consultant you will be responsible to design/develop/implement various ServiceNow solutions. You will utilize your existing Service Management / ServiceNow and market knowledge and technical expertise to support various customer needs and help to develop value propositions.

ServiceNow Architect : Establish an enterprise-wide technical architecture and implementation strategy setting the foundation for enduring success. Drives standardization and best practice platform management, enabling you to focus on value delivery.

for other position role I have mentioned you can opt for other certifications such as CAD,CIS- Implementation in later stage.

Thanks and Regards

ServiceNow is a great option to learn to get you started in your IT career.

I'd suggest starting with the Welcome to ServiceNow course, so you can see if you enjoy learning about and using ServiceNow.

Then, if you like it, move onto doing your CSA. When doing this course, there will likely be may IT concepts that are unfamiliar to you, as you're new to IT, so make sure you learn and understand them as you continue with the course. Use online articles, YouTube etc to help you with this. These concepts may include things like how IT Service Desks typically function, how servers talk to each other, networking, storage, general IT system administration etc.

Then, once you've successfully gotten the CSA and feel confident about your knowledge, begin looking for a junior role that interests you! I believe that if you can show you're capable, motivated and interested (which getting the CSA demonstrates), then a company utilising ServiceNow would be very lucky to have you!

Of course, CSA is not a guarantee of a job, but it will hopefully open some doors.

I hope this helps and good luck! 🙂

Hi @AnaElisaG

Welcome to the ServiceNow Community! ServiceNow is expanding, and there’s room for everyone. You can start as an Admin and later transition into roles like Developer or BA. The key to success is continuous learning and dedication. Since you're new here, it's important to spend time learning as much as you can.

Regarding certifications, they don't guarantee a job, but they do provide confidence that you have a solid understanding of ServiceNow.

What I suggest is to watch my video and see if you develop an interest in ServiceNow. If you do, then start your journey!
