Tuesday
Hi everyone,
I'm a 2025 CSE graduate actively looking for Software Engineer/Software Developer opportunities at ServiceNow in India. I have experience with JavaScript and Node. JS, DSA, LLD, and full-stack development through academic and personal projects.
I wanted to ask:
- Are there any fresher or early-career Software Engineer openings currently accepting applications?
- If you've recently gone through the interview process, what topics should I focus on?
- If anyone is comfortable providing a referral after reviewing my profile, I'd be happy to share my resume via DM.
Thank you for your time and guidance!

Hi @Lokesh_24
ServiceNow is getting bigger, wider, and deeper with every release. Because of this, attending a single training course or earning a certification alone won't guarantee success. Certifications validate your knowledge, but what truly matters is building strong fundamentals and continuously learning as the platform evolves.
From your question, it sounds like you already have a good coding background, which is a great advantage. However, the key question is: do you have a solid understanding of the ServiceNow platform? If not, that's where you should begin.
My recommendation is to start with the Certified System Administrator (CSA) learning path. The Administrator Fundamentals course is freely available through Now Learning and provides an excellent introduction to the platform. It covers the platform architecture, core components, navigation, data model, security, and the fundamental concepts you'll use throughout your ServiceNow career.
Once you've built a strong platform foundation with CSA, move on to the Certified Application Developer (CAD) learning path. This is where your existing coding skills will become a real advantage. You'll learn how scripting, application development, business rules, client scripts, Flow Designer, and other development capabilities are implemented within the ServiceNow platform.
These two certifications provide a safe and structured roadmap:
- CSA – Build a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform.
- CAD – Apply your programming knowledge to develop applications and customizations on the platform.
Following this path will give you both the platform knowledge and technical skills needed to grow confidently in the ServiceNow ecosystem.
I'm also sharing a few useful resources that will help you get started on your learning journey.

Here are a few tips:
-
Follow this master playlist to strengthen your JavaScript skills specifically for the ServiceNow platform.
https://youtu.be/62Nabpb94Jw?
-
Spend at least 1–2 hours daily on the ServiceNow Community. Observe the kinds of technical questions being asked and how experienced members respond. You’ll learn a lot passively this way—and I highly encourage you to start answering questions as well. Explaining concepts to others will improve your technical thinking and deepen your understanding.
-
Explore the free courses available on the ServiceNow Developer Site. These are practical and focused, and will help you apply your knowledge directly on the platform.
