Hi all,
I'm looking to transition from BMC Remedy to ServiceNow. I've been with Remedy for 15yrs so I'm hoping that some of that knowledge will transfer. I was recently laid off so I'm looking to change careers and applications. Any help with links to free training or learning content would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all can't wait to start my journey!.
P.S.
I've been doing the training on SN website at https://nowlearning.servicenow.com/lxp/en/pages/journey-overview?id=journey_overview&journey_id=5ab1...
and following SN advice. Any other content would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Gabriel,
Sorry to hear about the lay-off. Usually the first tier to proving ServiceNow competence is to obtain the Certified System Administrator certification. There is a self-paced option for this class so you don't have to pay the full amount for an instructor-led class.
ServiceNow has a program called "Rise Up (https://www.servicenow.com/company/riseup.html). I don't know much of what it entails, but definitely see if you can benefit from it one way or another.
Finally, ServiceNow talent is in very high demand. Your 15 years in the ITSM field should be a huge asset, despite your lack of ServiceNow experience. I recommend also trying to obtain your ITIL 4 Foundations certification to further prove your knowledge and expertise.
Even without the CSA and ITIL 4 Foundations certifications (as long as you have these in process...they should be considered required for the field), I recommend starting to research companies that provide ServiceNow implementation services. There are lots to choose from (start here: https://www.servicenow.com/partners/partner-finder.html) and I believe they all will offer continuous learning opportunities as you continue to grow.
Please feel free to contact me directly in case you have any questions or need additional guidance.

Hi Taarik,
Thanks for the info. I looked at the self paced learning and it is so much cheaper! Thanks for the suggestion! I will definitely look to you for guidance as I continue my journey.

Hey Gabriel,
I am also sorry to hear about your layoff. I agree with Taarik. The CSA is a great place to start.
Deloitte is also looking for ServiceNow talent. So when you are ready to interview again, please consider applying. You will definetly do well in ServiceNow with your skills. Wherever you go I wish you the best of luck!

Thanks for reaching out Cahill. I am going to be doing the self paced CSA. It is so much cheaper than the instructor led. As I continue my journey would you be ok with me asking you questions if they come up? Thanks again.
Gabriel
