How It Works:
Open any epic in Enterprise Agile Planning, click "Create stories" button from the work item header and the Now Assist conversational panel opens. The AI generates story recommendations based on your work item context. Keep refining until your story suite is perfect, then type "Save". All finalized stories appear in the Stories tab, ready for sprint planning.
Pro Tip: This is a conversational experience - no forms, no buttons, just free flow natural dialogue. Type what you want in plain English, like "split story 3", "add a story for reporting", "remove story 5". AI Agent understands and responds naturally. This feature is turned on by default on Zurich Patch 4 and above. If you have Now Assist with appropriate role (sn_apw_advanced.eap_user), you're ready to go.

1. How do I refine the generated stories?
Ans: Simply chat naturally. Type requests like "Split story 2," "Merge stories 4 and 5," "Remove story 3," "Add a story for admin users," or "Change persona to manager." The AI understands natural language and updates the story list based on your conversation.
2. What role is required to generate stories?
Ans: The role required is sn_apw_advanced.eap_user or sn_apw_advanced.eap_read_only, with now_assist_panel_user
3. We're using Agile Development, not EAP. Can we still use this feature?
Ans: At the moment, this feature is only available in EAP. It will be rolled out to Agile Development soon.
4. Which fields are considered when the AI generates stories?
Ans: AI analyzes the “Name and “Description”, “Docs”. If you wish to include additional fields or custom columns, you can do so by adding that column in “Fields” section of Now Assist Skill configuration within the admin area.
