How can you tell if a demand is a project? How do they tie together? I put in a demand that turned into a project but had to create a new project instead of moving it from a demand to a project.

They are two different records, Projects and Demans. In the Eureka version, a Demand can generate a Project when the Category field is set to Strategic and the Type field is set to Project on the Demand record. Once you click the Approved button on the Demand, a Project is created copying the Demand "Name" field to the Project "Project Name" field. The newly created Project will show up under the Related Records tab of the Demand if it is done this way.
In Fuji, there is a Create Project related link on the Demand form that will create a Project the same way but then the Project is placed in a "Project" field on the Demand for easy reference. You can also attach multiple existing projects to a Demand, should the Demand require multiple projects to be completed.
Here is great wiki on Demands.

Great clarification, Alex! Happy to see this process was made easier in Fuji.
Tonya Huskey we have 2 buttons appear on the top of the Demand form when the Demand is in the 'Approval' state: Create Project (which will create a PRJ#### form), Create Enhancement (which will create an ENHC### form). We have defined which fields we want to carry over from Demand to Project, and which fields we want to carry over from Demand to Enhancement. We enabled the 'related records' tab (as Alex mentioned) so you can see if the Project or Enhancement came from a Demand.

Kelly, I tried your suggestion and it did not work. I am going to look at the settings in ServiceNow. Thank you for your help.
