Since ServiceNow introduced the Alignment Planner Workspace with Roadmap Planning last year, we’ve been helping organizations create and share strategic roadmap plans across their companies – which they use as guides to plan key work deliverables that in turn enable them to achieve their important business initiatives.
But that was just the beginning! Roadmaps now do even more than help guide you to your destination*. With the Rome release of Alignment Planner Workspace v2, roadmap plans are now connected, hybrid and provide even better tracking capabilities:
- Connected roadmap plans: The planning hierarchy enables executives to create strategic roadmap plans (for initiatives that lay out the vision for the organization) that now cascade down to lower-level roadmap plans (for the actual work underway across the organization) in support of those higher-level initiatives. Connected roadmap plans help keep everyone in the organization –from top to bottom–aligned to the same desired outcomes.
- Hybrid roadmaps: Stakeholders can now plan and track different types of work (demands, projects, epics and more) all together in a single, hybrid roadmap. This gives them a unified view of all related work across the entire value stream –regardless of the execution type.
- Enhanced tracking and milestones: New health status indicators, timelines and visual milestones take roadmaps well beyond planning. Roadmaps now track the work required to deliver on those plans - so executives AND teams all have the insights they need to ensure they can deliver what they said they’ll deliver… or replan when necessary.
