Calendar events are being created on confirmation of resource plans

Hi Everyone,

 

I had a question regarding Resource Management behavior in ServiceNow SPM.

 

When I confirm a Resource Plan, it creates a soft allocation as expected, but it is also generating calendar events/schedule entries for the resource. My understanding was that soft allocations should reserve capacity only and should not create actual calendar events until a hard/committed allocation stage.

 

FYI - I am using legacy Resource Plans.

 

Any guidance would be appreciated.
