Can I change which template is the default status report template?

When in the project workspace, and wanting to generate a status report, our project managers want to know if it is possible to change which template is considered the default? Currently, when you click on the Create Status Report button, it will automatically use the built-in default status report, but our PMs want to use the one they created instead. They know they can click on the arrow next to the button and select "Create new from template" to select whatever template they want, but they want the ease of a one-click start. Is it possible to change which template is the default, or do I just need to copy the contents they want into the current default file?

sn_pw.project_status_report_default_templateId — This property specifies the default template used for generating project status reports. Customers can set this property with their own template ID to use a custom template.
