Can we directly create a project without idea and demand?

Can we directly create a project without idea and demand?
Does it cause any issues, can someone recommend the best practices

Hi,

You can create a project without an idea nor a demand. 

It's also valid flow. There should not be any problems. 

If you are starting from an idea or the work needs to validated and approved before creation of project, you can consider creating a demand or an idea. So it just depends upon your business requirement.

Thank you for the response, are we loose any OOB configurations if we are not following process
Who will be the audience can create a project directly 
Can non - project managers create projects without idea=>demand=>project process

Hi @Shantharao , 

Yes, project record can be ceated without Idea->Demand path.

For non-project managers, user must have required role as configured in ACL[create] on pm_project table.
