What recommendations or best practices have others adopted in capturing Opportunities (favorable Risks) in SPM/PPM?
As risks aren't always negative, how are others capturing favorable Risks in their SPM project records? As they aren't planned benefits, I would think capturing them in the Risk table would be the best bet for a unified view of Risks vs Opportunities. I would imagine with some minor customization (adding a choice option for Risk vs Opportunity), some field customizations (adding negative value risk entries to ensure Opportunities appear as favorable), and some UI Policy edits (only show the negative value entries when the "Opportunity" choice is selected) could meet this business need/use case.
Anyone else have any ideas or recommendations?
Thanks as always for your help!

Hi,
Sharing my two cents.
One of the closest entity to capture Opportunity in SPM is Demand. Demand helps capturing all required details that is opportunity such as Business Case, Investment Type, Impact, Assessment etc. It can also be tranformed into Project or Epic based on execution plan.
