Change Gantt bar colours in new "Project Workspace"

Is there any way to customize / configure the colours used when drawing the Gantt bars in the new UI "Project Workspace" Gantt?

I see two use cases that I would like to be able to cover:

a) Colour the bars dependent on some property of the task. E.g. a task category, type, assignment group, whatever. This can be useful to provide a fast overview of the project plans (e.g. this is used in automotive settings, where certain colours relate to certain types of activity).

b) Disable the colour-cycling through the pastelly colours, which might not be desired by all customers, or replace with a custom colour set (the pastel colours look a bit childish to me, tbh).

Use case a is more important than use case b.

With several releases since the last comment, could you provide this thread with an update. Its something very much of interest to us further adopting the workspace gantt charts and not exporting out of platform for reporting.

@Community Alums  Gantt colors are not configurable yet.

Can you please share your use case to modify the colors ? Is it something similar to #1 provided by Daniel above?

We heavily use the RAG status within projects. Having the Gantt colours in direct conflict with this is confusing to our end users. See example below where the status is Green, but the Gantt shows as red, immediately leading to questions. Being able to configure these colours, would ensure we do not have any confusion.
