When I add a new task "Testing" with a Planned End Date of 12/25/2024 and save, it still shows the 09/13/2024. Before I save it I see the system updates the overall project top task with the expected 12/25/2024 date, but upon save goes back to 09/13/2024
as I understand it, a parent task should always reflect the furthest out planned end date of it's children tasks.
I'm looking to determine if this behavior (furthest planned end date not rolling up to its parent) is expected based a particular criteria. Is there a correlation between project task state and the rolling up of planned end date for instance?
I'm trying to determine in what scenario a parent project task would not reflect the furthest planned end date of it's children tasks.
