Changing the activity stream icon color in workspace

I’m attempting to change the activity stream icon color in workspace using the field attribute, but I can’t get it to apply for custom journal input fields. It does work for work notes, so I’m trying to confirm whether this attribute is limited to the standard journal fields or if there’s a supported approach for custom journal fields in Configurable Workspace.

Unfortunately there is no OOTB option.

We were able to determine the solution.  You have to have the field on the form you are using.  Since I didn't want it showing, I added a UI Policy to hide it and it is working as needed.
