Copying values from cells to paste into a document

In a project plan, is it possible to select multiple cells and copy the values so I can paste them into a document?

Reasoning: I may want to talk to my team about multiple tasks in a meeting. I want to be able to copy the WBS and Short Description of the tasks so I can quickly add them to my meeting agenda.

This is a regular process that I have used within Smartsheet.

My current workaround is the following:

1. Export project to Excel

2. Sort by WBS (A ->Z) column

3. Copy the WBS and Short Description fields

4. Paste the field values into my meeting agenda

Sadly, I think that the technique you described is "as good as it gets".  
I tried "copy cell" without success, it seems as though the clipboard isn't populated by the copy cell function.
Even when I tried "ctlr & c" I get nothing.
