Cost allocation across multiple cost centers in SPM Projects

Hi everyone,

We are currently implementing ServiceNow SPM for a customer and we have a specific requirement regarding cost allocation.

In some projects, the financial team needs to split the project costs proportionally across two (or more) cost centers, based on a predefined percentage.

However, as far as we can see, every expense line in SPM is associated to a single cost center, which means we cannot directly represent a proportional distribution for the same expense.

Has anyone implemented a solution where:

• A single project cost (labor or non-labor) can be allocated to multiple cost centers?

• The cost split is driven by a percentage or distribution rule defined at the project level?

We would love to hear about any best practices, plugins, workarounds, or customizations you have used to achieve this.
