Hello,
I'm trying to understand the relationship between Agile stories/epics, SAFe stories/features within the new Project Workspace in ServiceNow, specifically when the project execution type is Agile. I'm seeing inconsistencies and would like to ask for help to clarify on the intended usage.
Here is the situation:
I created Agile Project (exeution type = Agile) in New Project Workspace: The "Stories" related list allows me to create new stories that are stored in the rm_story table (Agile Development module).
Inconsistency in Story Form: When I create a story from the Project Workspace, the story form includes fields like "Team" (referencing sn_apw_advanced_eap_team) and "Enterprise agile iterations" (referencing sn_apw_advanced_eap_configuration). These fields (or the terminology) seem to me related more to SAFe or frm the tech, name Enterprise Agile Planning (EAP), which is part of the Strategic Planning Workspace (SPW).
When I open the same story directly from the Agile Development module or open the rm_story form not in the project workspace, the form shows rather "Assignment group" (referencing sys_user_group) instead of "Team," and there's no "Enterprise Agile Integration".
This inconsistency is a bit confusing.
My Questions:
Where should users manage the story backlog? Is it expected that users create stories and work with stories primarily within the Agile Development module and Agile Boards, or via the "Stories" related list in the Project Workspace?
SAFe Stories/Features in Project Workspace? For the scenario, where a company follows also SAFe, can in the OOtB be created SAFe stories and features also from a project in the new Project Workspace or is the Project Workspace limited to creating only rm_story records (Agile Development stories)?
Agile Development If I understand correctly, the EAP in the Strategic Planning Workspace is replacing only the SAFe module and is related to the SAFe framework and the Agile Development features and Agile Boards are not migrated to any workspace?
