CWM Task Assignment notification misleading

Jonah Piascik

We are just starting to use CWM and are noticing that the CWM Task Assignment Notification emails are misleading.  It appears they are going to both the task owner and the assignment group, but the body of the email only addresses the task owner (by First Name).  Curious if anyone else has noticed, if this is a bug, and if I should just modify the notification settings to take corrective action.

Hi Jonah,
I can imagine the pain of getting tens of task emails but not assigned to me 😐

Today we are sending the notification to group email and the assigned person's email.
We will re-assess this with our team and correct course if required. (I will post an update to this thread if we plan to change the behaviour)
Thanks for raising this concern.
Best Regards,

Check on the group settings. Does the group have an email address where it needs to be sent to? And is 'include members' set to true? If not, it will not include the members of the group, but just wants to send it to the group email and for that you need a group email address.

thanks Mark - I've already identified that the notification is configured to go to both the task owner and assignment group.  Sunil gave me the information I was looking for on whether or not this was something that they were aware of and would consider changing as part of the OOB configuration.
