Demand Baseline Questions

1) After creating a project from a demand, a baseline of demand is auto-created (Figure-1). What's the usage?

2) In Figure-1, there is a button [Create Baseline], after I have clicked it (Figure-2 example), there is no field for me to input anything? Any detailed steps for the operation of the baseline created manually and how to trigger the value change?

3) In Figure-3, where is the data come from for Baseline values? Where is the data come from for current value?

Please advise.

Thank you for your document.

May I have more information regarding my question?

In the link, I failed to find the answer of my question. Thank you.

Did you solve your problem in the above note? I also need the same help. Regarding the demand baseline

Hi Lee,

Refer my responses to your questions-

1. Yes once a project is created from a demand, a demand baseline is created to capture the details about dates & other meta data for future references. This helps in future to understand or compare with the current information.

2. Figure 1 that you shared is when you click on baseline record and not when you click Create Baseline button. After clicking the Create baseline button, this is screen that appears where you can save a new baseline.

3. The baseline & current values comes from different fields within the Project form itself. The screenshot you shared is from the Financials tab with the project form. Also can you elaborate as to how are you getting into that screen.

Hope this helps.
