How can I share Alignment Planner Workspace with a read only audience?

Option 1: I would like to share the Alignment Planner Workspace with the planning hierarchy and all planning items with a read only audience. I know how to share it with others but they receive write permissions to the items when the ootb role 'sn_align_core.apw_user' is assigned.

 

Option 2: As alternative I thought I could also create an ad-hoc roadmap and share it with a group of users but I have to maintain the sharing manually for each user instead of sharing it with groups.

 

Any ideas how this could work? (Preferred with option 1)

I think you are looking for the role sn_align_core.ap_read_only. looking at here for more information.

  • Can view portfolio plans (Planning and Scoring pages) and free-form roadmaps that are shared with them.
  • Can add notes, comments, or attachments to portfolio plans and roadmaps that are shared with them.
