How do I modify a Project Template?

Once a Project Template is created, how do we edit that template?  Or do we have to create a new Project from the Template, edit the Project and save as a new template?

Thanks but this doesn't tell me how to edit the content of an existing template. I want to make changes to tasks or add tasks to an existing template.

@andytom did you find a solution to this? I am also looking for a way to simply modify the template via a planning console type view. I know you can open the template via Projects - Template and make changes in the Project Template Tasks list but this is very painful.

No other solution is available at this time. I entered the suggestion for a Planning Console view for project templates on the Idea Portal. "Planning Console view for Project Templates". If you could go there and add your comments it might help move this along.
