I am working with a customer wanting to leverage the 'Export to powerpoint for PPM' functionality to include the Gaant from the planning tab of a project. There is a planning console widget that shows project Gaants, however the planning console widget is not included in the OOB Status Report. I know you can customize your status reports to include any widgets you would like as it is a portal page, so in theory you could add a gaant to the project status report by embedding the planning console widget into your project status report page, however I am not sure even if you were to do that, that it would effectively integrate with PowerPoint to allow for the creation of that chart type in your template. it seems you can only select from the configured chart types in PowerPoint.
I am also having issues with dot walking to certain table variables that aren't preset in the 'ServiceNow' integration within the PowerPoint application. For example if I type out the variable reference syntax e.g. {$tablename.fieldname} the data does not export correctly, but if I use the UI navigator built into the ppt integration to select a field from a table it works fine. Does anyone have any experience with heavily modifying the OOB project status report templates in PPM?
