How to expand the roadmap timeline beyond four quarters?

Hi. I cannot figure out how to expand the roadmap timeline view to go beyond four quarters. Both my programs and my projects within the portfolio have dates beyond what I can view in the roadmap. How do I get this to work? Thanks!

Excellent question, @Stacy_l_dec. I wish I had an answer but now I'm also curious if there is a way to change the time period that is displayed. I verified that both my Portfolio Plan and my test Projects extended longer than 4 quarters but I'm only able to see 4 quarters at a time. I have not found anything in ServiceNow documentations or a System Property that I could find. Hoping others have an answer.

From what I have seen, this is a current limitation of the SPM roadmap view. It is hard-coded to show four quarters at a time, even if your portfolio and project dates go further out. There is no setting, property, or config today to extend that timeline. The only workaround is scrolling quarter by quarter or using other views and reports for longer horizons.

In ServiceNow SPM, the roadmap view is currently limited to showing four quarters at a time, and there’s no documented way to extend it beyond that. You’ll need to use custom reporting or adjust timeline settings in a different view to see projects beyond four quarters.

Hi, the roadmap timeline follows the portfolio plan timeperiod. If you want to expand the timeline, you should change the portfolio plan timeperiod.
