Hello,
I am having requirement, i have created custom field called "Demand/Project" on planning item table so that based on "Planning item type" if its Project or demand, Number should be populated on '"Demand/Project"' field.
if  "Planning item type" is 'Project' then project number should be populated on '"Demand/Project" field
if  "Planning item type" is 'Demand' then demand number should be populated on '"Demand/Project" field
If anyone can help on this, please respond.
Thanks in advance

Hi lakshmi

I am curious to know why you need to have the demand or project number at the planning item level ? would love to learn more about it.

Each planning item has a column called Execution URL which links to the dmn_demand or project record would that help?

We have the same question. I don't know how @lakshmi_laksh would respond, but for us, our standard identifier for demands and projects is the demand number. It is a very standard entity to search or filter on. If one exports the planning items, the preference is to match on a demand number if integrating with other data in a spreadsheet. The PLN number is meaningless and confusing for our business partners, and frankly for us in managing our work pipeline. Why I would have to configure for this in the workspace is beyond me. Core record identifiers should be standard elements built in to select from in the workspace. I get that the PLN data is separate, but name doesn't cut it as a common identifier.
