In SPM Demand to Strategic Enhancement

In SPM Demand when, when a Demand turns out to be less than a Project my organization is hoping to send the Demand to an Enhancement record. Our problem is that when we follow that OOB path, none of the work in the Demand that will be useful for the Enhancement ticket assignee moves over with the Demand. Why is this? Our intent is to assign the Enhancement to a developer team for them to work, but since no data from the Demand moves over to the Enhancement ticket the ticket is OOB useless in this case. 

 

I have looked at whether or not I can add some of the fields from the Demand Business Case tab to the Enhancement (ideally read only) but since OOB it appears that the Enhancement does not even maintain a Parent Relationship this is not easy to do. If anyone with experience with this topic could give me a pointer on how to accomplish this, or even to tell me that my organization is doing this wrong, I would appreciate it.
