Hi Team,
The Project is in the Planning phase. All the Tasks are in "Pending state. I am not able to move the Project from Work in Progress to Pending. Getting the below error:-
Updating project state from Work In Progress to Pending or Open is not allowed. Update all tasks state to Pending to set project state to Pending.
Please suggest.
Thanks,
Neha

@NehaSNOW The error message you are seeing in ServiceNow with SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) indicates a workflow rule or validation that restricts changing the project state from "Work In Progress" to "Pending" (or "Open") unless all associated tasks are also moved to "Pending". This means the system enforces consistency across project and task states to avoid a mismatch.

@Sandeep Rajput All the Tasks are already in "Pending" as mentioned in my post.

It expects all the project tasks to be pending, if you have any tasks in closed complete, incomplete or skipped it will not allow to change the project status to pending. Try changing any project with all tasks to pending and it would allow to change the state from Work in Progress to Pending.
