Hi All,
Hope you're well,
I wonder if someone can give me some advice on this issue
I'm using Service Now for the first time and still getting to grips with it, I have stripped the planning console down to it basic elements for the time being just so I can get some functionality out of it.
I have a project that is at least 85% complete, but the percentage complete shows as less than 5% - see screen shot
Its set to manual calculation. I have noticed that it seems to base the percentage complete using start and end dates and not on actual task completion - can this be changed?

Percentage complete is rolled up from project tasks to project record. There is a BR which does that handling. Percent complete rollup is handled using Planned duration field.
Suppose you have Project which has 2 tasks. First task is 1 day duration and second task is 2 day duration. If you complete the first task - percent complete would be calculated as follows
percent_complete = (1 / (1+2)) *100 = 33%

Thanks for taking the time to read my question and respond,
Is there any way to set percentage complete based on task completion?
Dates in projects change all the time so this shouldn't impact the percentage of actual tasks that have been completed,
In my screen shot above, you can see that the majority of the project has been completed but we had to move the live release date, this then dropped the overall percentage completed down to less than 5% which is not the case at all.
It seems a flawed way to measure project completion

Same question here, the roll up should be based on tasks completion percentage not planned duration, is there anyway to change this OOB behaviour?
