Generate a fiscal calendar

You can generate a fiscal calendar for a specified time period.

Before you begin

Role required: fiscal_calendar_admin

About this task

Attention: Once you start working with a set of financial data with a fiscal calendar type, you cannot change to another type of fiscal calendar. Verify that your fiscal calendar can be used with your financial data.

Procedure

1. Navigate to Fiscal Calendar > Generate
2. Configure the form (see table).
3. Click Generate Calendar.
4. Navigate to System Definition > Fiscal Periods and verify that the monthly, quarterly, and annual fiscal period records exist.

We followed the steps provided. 

I get below error:

Note that i would like to geenerate for next year (2021) not for 2020.

Hi @srivatsa_tatti 

I see that the fiscal calendar type is "Regular" from the screenshot attached for FY20. And for FY21 you are trying to generate a 445 calendar. The calendar generation should be consistent with the ones already existing in the system. This is why the error is thrown restircting FY21 generation.

Hello 

if you have the proper roles - Admin or fiscal_calendar_admin

Just go Project Administration --> Fiscal Calendar--> Generate 

Enter how you want you fiscal year broken down and generate.
