Project Calculation - Automatic and Manual

Hello,

We are curious to see how other are using the Project Calculation field in ServiceNow. What are the advantages disavantages of using Automatic or Manual Calculation? Are the are any preferences for either method, especially in regards to to the type of project being managed, if dedendencies are being heavily used etc?
