Following is the OOB functionality:
1. When a resource plan is created for a project, system automatically generates cost plan with cost type ‘Labor capex’.
2. When a user submits the time card for a project/Project Task – There is an automatic cost plan generation (name: PRJnumber System generated CapEx costplan) with Cost type: Other Capex which tracks the actual cost
3. When the time card is approved - There is an automatic expense line creation with Expense type: Capex
But we have the requirement,
1. Where projects can be completely Opex type - So all the cost plans and expense lines should have the cost type Opex, So
-Automatic cost plan creation of Resource Plan should be of the cost type Labor opex
-When a user submits the time card for a project/Project Task – It should automatically create a cost plan with Cost type: Other Opex which tracks the actual cost
-When the time card is approved - Automatically expense line should be created with Expense type: Opex
2. Where project can contain both Capex and Opex tasks
-Flexibility of Automatic cost plan creation with Labor capex/Labor Opex
-When a user submits the time card for a project/Project Task – It should automatically create a cost plan with Cost type: Other Opex /Other capex depending on project type
-When the time card is approved - Automatically expense line should be created with Expense type: Opex/Capex based on the task for which user submitted the time card
