Within the Financials tab, there is a Time Scope section at the top. I have a few questions related to this area.
Under what circumstances would the Time Scope not prefill based on existing records? One of our users encountered this issue, but we haven’t been able to reproduce it.
I tried deleting the cost plan, or creating a new project, and the Time Scope did prefill correctly.
When the Time Scope does not prefill (as shown below), the current behavior requires selecting the End Fiscal Period first. Only then does the system populate the available fiscal periods for the Start Fiscal Period.
Why does it behave this way?
Is there a way to change this so that all Start Fiscal Periods are populated first, and then only the valid periods after that are available for the End Fiscal Period?
Thank you in advance, and I appreciate any feedback or insights.

Hi @Teo2kids
I tried it and it seems that the fiscal period is related.
What are the Start and End dates you entered in the details tab?
Also, has the fiscal period corresponding to that period been generated?

So we have the following start and end dates in details tab
Approved start date: 2026-01-12 08:00:00
Approved end date: 2026-01-12 17:00:00
Planned start date: 2025-10-01 06:00:00
Planned end date: 2030-03-15 06:00:00
Actual start date: 2025-10-01 06:00:00
Actual end date: NA as it has not ended
We have the fiscal period up to fy 29 , good catch , I'll generate fy 30 to see if this fixes it.
And do you know why the behavior of having to fill in end fiscal period then start fiscal period in the time scope?
Thank you very much

While I haven't tried generating fy 30 , I did try generating a record and putting in dates that we don't have fiscal year in, and that still allowed the time scope to auto populate, thought I would update before I forget

Hi @Teo2kids
When I checked, I found that it was set automatically if it was within the fiscal period I had created, but I had to enter it if it was outside that range.
