I am managing an Agile project using service now. I would like to know how the burn down charts are getting updated in service now. We update the status of each story depending on the progress daily from ready to in progress, ready for testing. But the burn down chart shows a straight line throughout the sprint and then drops only when it is marked as complete.
I would like to know how the burndown charts can be updated based on the daily progress.

@Prashant_S any update on this? Can we customize the burndown chart as per the story states now? Is there any provision in the latest releases?

Hi @Kevin Paul ,
You can configure what your definition of done is.. ie, which states should be considered as done for the breakdown. You can try look into below article and configure the state buckets of the story table similarly.

@SaiShekharP I don't think this worked for us, I did configure the state buckets of the story as per the article but the chart did not change. I added UAT testing as one of the close_states and the story did go into active 'false' when updated but the chart still showed the same flat line.
