Going to throw ideas and see what sticks-
A. Has anyone created a New "New" UI action on the scrum task or story table
B. Check any new business rules on scrum task to see if there is anything new or odd
C. I did notice as you say that that the 2nd scrum task is named HI and from the fiter query it shows Story name is HI
D. I noticed that the query says AGILE story- keyword being agile- i dont remember seeing the word Agile on my parent Story table unless your org updated the label-
E. When you scroll to the story above- if you right click and select add scrum tasks and select any combo of numbers - at least 1 - does it not add a scrum task under the current story ? if it does not examine those newly minted scrum tasks- see if there is a reference i think under parent field to the right story
last way to create a scrum task is going to the general scrum task list clicking new but you would have to fill in the reference to the story and it should show up under the story

Thank you for the reply.
1) No
2) Do not see any business rules that would be applicable
I will have to see about the word agile, if we changed it internally or not.
The only way the task will show on a story is if I use the task - new option. The option to add Task from anywhere else, I then have to go into the Task - Edit button and move the created tasks onto the story.

Option A sounds interesting. Creating a "New" UI action might be worth exploring. As for Option B, checking those business rules could shed some light on the issue. I noticed you mentioned "Agile" in Option D. That's intriguing! Maybe there's something related to the labeling that's causing the problem. And Option E sounds like a quick way to add Scrum tasks but keep an eye on those references to the parent story. As for me, dealing with Scrum tasks can be a bit tricky sometimes, right? I remember when I started, I faced some similar challenges. But hey, don't get disheartened! Getting a Professional Scrum Certification helped me a lot, and I think it could be beneficial for you too.
