Hi All
Is there any documentation or scope or POC performed between ServiceNow SPM and PI tool (Integration). If any can someone provide me some insights how this SPM and PI is been leveraged.
Thanks
Sathish

Hi @SathishkumaK,
Great question — integrating ServiceNow SPM (Strategic Portfolio Management) with PI (Portfolio Intelligence or Planview PI) is becoming more important for organizations that want to connect strategic planning with execution-level visibility. However, consider the following key points before you begin:
- There’s not widely available out-of-the-box integration between SPM and PI, so most setups involve custom API-based connectors or integration platforms.
- Typical use cases include syncing:
- Investment objects, epics, or OKRs from SPM to PI
- Progress updates, delivery metrics, or execution status back from PI into SPM
- The aim is to ensure leadership in SPM has visibility into what’s being delivered, without disrupting teams working in PI.
Integration Options:
- Both platforms support REST APIs, so it's technically feasible to build custom connectors — though this requires ongoing maintenance.
- Some teams choose to sync data to a reporting layer (e.g., data lake) if full integration isn’t needed.
You may consider OpsHub Integration Manager (A ServiceNow Partner) — a trusted integration platform used by enterprises that need bi-directional sync between tools like ServiceNow and Planview. It supports full context transfer, traceability, and runs behind the scenes, so teams don’t have to change the way they work.
Hope it helps! 🙂

Hi SathishkumaK,
While we haven’t built a POC specifically with a PI tool, our integration connects ServiceNow SPM with Smartsheet as a project execution and planning layer. It allows teams to manage demands, projects, tasks, and status reports in either system and keep both sides in sync.
You can check out the demo or ServiceNow Store listing to see how SPM is leveraged with external platforms. Feel free to contact us contact@work4flow.com if you have any more questions!
