In our Organisation, we use a T-shirt to understand the nature of the project and is determined by a combination of various parameters like scope, duration of the project, no of resource needed, cost, etc.

It helps to categorise the projects for better reporting purpose.

Why do you need the sizes and calibrations of T-shirts from this particular company?

Well, you're getting too worked up about this. There are also standard sizes and calibrations. You can simply sew a T-shirt to order the required size in the most extreme case, and the problem will be solved.
Recently, I had such a situation that I needed to find the same T-shirts for all the women on our team. We participated in the competition, and the rules required it. Then I found on https://matohash.com/collections/mom-t-shirts great t-shirts and ordered for everyone. The site has a standard size grid, with which you can find the desired dimensions.
