Hi all,
I am new to Digital portfolio management and would like to understand where do we get the data for Technology lifecycle risk (Software and hardware lifecycle risk)?
I need to setup some data for demo purposes. Do we need Technology portfolio management plugin enabled to see this data?
Thanks,
Ravish

Ravish,
you are correct, to get that level of information, you require some dependant plugins for the data.
in this case:
"To see technical risks, install the plugin for Technology Portfolio Management: sn_apm_tpm. This plugin has two dependency plugins:
- Application Portfolio Management (com.snc.apm)
- Software Asset Management (com.snc.sams)"
sn_apm_tpm & com.snc.apm is part of the Enterprise Application license (formerly Application Portfolio Management) and com.snc.sams is Software Asset Management Professional.
(for simplicity you also need ITOM Discovery as well).
ITOM Discovery returns the software installed and the hardware models for each server.
SAM Pro normalises the discovered software and links models and vendor lifecycles form the content store.
APM and TPM has the smarts to link these datasets together and rolls them up into a risk rating.
Note:
there's 2 TPMs now, a legacy version (part of APM) and one for the newly badged Enterprise Architecture. I think the above is the store app available with Enterprise Architecture.

Thanks Jim. I have activated TPM. I manually added data into the sn_apm_tpm_discovered_technology table and updated the 'earliest lifecycle date' of the associated 'TPM technology lifecycle' to this year and it started to show data. I found this after looking into the UI builder code for DPM homepage.
