SPM Agile Demand - Story Detail roll up

We have our SPM instance configured for the approved demand to generate a story. The snag is the business user is only able to see the Demand details, not the story details. Is there an OOTB capability for the Story details to Automatically summarize selected Storyinformation on to the parent Demand? Key details from the story would be like: Start with counts, progress, execution status,dates, and last activity.

From the OOTB capability, might worth looking into Watch List capability, though don't think it works if the business users don't have the permissions to see story related info; I have found these though:
If the above isn't feasible, you might need to go onto customisation route: potentially either create a custom field on Demand or just generate a work note with details from the story (using a scripted scheduled job) also on Demand, but then the question is - how often would these notes be generated and for how long, until the story closes?
Not sure if possible to see "live" data if you don't want to give story related permissions to the business users, so they need to depend on another mechanism to see those updates.
Another potential solution would be to create a notification and send via email the info the business users are interested in, perhaps when Story changes its state?! For whoever doesn't want to receive such notifications they can just disable them OR have a custom field on Story where you can select true/false whether notifications should be sent out.
