SPM Project Workspace - Resource Assignment Effort Field Rounds Off Decimal Values

Hi Community,

I’m currently working in SPM Project Workspace in ServiceNow and facing an issue with the Resource Assignment Effort field.

 When I assign resources to a task and enter effort values like 3.5 hours, the value gets automatically rounded to the nearest whole number (3 hours).

However, the dictionary entry for the Effort field is of type Decimal, so I was expecting it to retain the fractional/decimal input.

Questions:

  • Has anyone else experienced this issue in SPM Project Workspace while assigning resource on project task?
  • Is this expected behavior or a bug?
  • Is there any configuration or workaround to allow decimal effort values like 2.5, 4.75, etc.? Attaching screenshots for reference.
